What to check first, and how to report a fault that we can correct.

Check these first

Most reports have one of these causes:

  • A source stopped working. A source breaks when the site that it reads changes. Look for a source update first. See Correct a fault.
  • There is nothing to browse. Suwatte comes with no content. See Add your first source.
  • A download does not progress. The usual cause is Only Download on Wi-Fi, or background downloads that are off. See Downloads.
  • Content is missing after a restore. A backup holds no downloads and no server credentials. See Backups.
  • Two devices do not agree. See iCloud sync.

The questions and answers page holds the questions that come most often.

Report a fault

We can act on a report that holds:

  • The app version, from Settings → About.
  • Your device and your iOS version.
  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened.
  • The relevant part of Settings → Advanced → Logs. This part usually makes a fault possible to find.
  • Whether the fault happens each time, or only sometimes.

If the fault is in one source, give its name and its version. The author of a source corrects its faults. Send that report to the person who maintains the source list that you used.

Where to write

What we cannot do

We cannot help you to find content. We cannot suggest a source or a source list. We cannot correct a source that stopped working.

Suwatte does not operate a directory of sources. Another party writes each source, and we do not check it.

Write a source

If you maintain a source and have a question about the runtime, read the developer guides. They cover the toolchain, the capabilities, the network stack and the release process.
