Linked Titles

Keep the same series from different sources in one library entry and use their chapters together.

Linked Titles groups different source versions of the same series. The source titles and chapters stay separate. Suwatte presents the group as one library title.

What a Linked Group Does

  • The Primary Title owns the library entry and supplies its default title and cover.
  • Combined Chapters uses chapters from all linked titles. You can still view one source alone.
  • Read chapters and bookmarks are shared across the group. The group also keeps one resume position.
  • You can change the primary title and the order of the linked titles.
  • You can unlink a non-primary title without deleting it from its source.
  1. Open the title details.
  2. Open the menu above the chapter list. Select Manage Linked Titles.
  3. Tap Add and search your installed sources.
  4. Select the matching title. Confirm Link.

In Linked Titles, select the primary title. Reorder the Chapter Priority List to control which source wins when two sources have the same chapter.

Use Combined Chapters

Tap Chapters on the title details and select Combined.

  • Show All shows the chapters from every linked title.
  • Primary + Latest shows all primary chapters. It adds linked chapters that extend past, or are newer than, the latest primary chapter.
  • Distinct Chapters keeps one chapter for each chapter number. The Chapter Priority List selects the preferred source.

Downloaded chapters and chapters in progress stay visible when Distinct Chapters would normally hide their duplicate.

Find Matches in Your Library

Find Duplicates is a shortcut that creates Linked Title groups from titles already in your library.

  1. Open the library menu and select Find Duplicates.
  2. Review each suggested group.
  3. Select at least two title groups. Tap Merge Selected.

A matching external identifier gives a Strong Match. Suwatte selects these titles for you. A matching normalized title gives a Possible Match. Suwatte never selects a title-only match for you.

The review keeps existing linked groups together. When it links a new group, it keeps the furthest reading position and combines the read chapters, bookmarks, and collection memberships.
